Norrie Robbins

Climate Leadership Awardee

Norrie Robbins was nominated for the 2023 Climate Leadership Award because she has worked thanklessly for a long time for Pala with Tribal youth of all kinds. She is always willing and able to go above and beyond for kids, coming to as many Tribal events as she can, and being a wellspring of scientific knowledge. Norrie has worked on dozens of walks and events with the youth at Pala and intertribally, and she's always positive and willing to do her best to help out. When we feel bombarded by the negative news of climate change and impacts, it's always nice to have someone who seems consistently cheerful and optimistic around kids, talking about science and facts, but in a way that makes it easy for everyone to understand without being scary.
