Opportunities for Climate-Smart Agriculture in San Diego County

Led by Climate Science Alliance staff, this project integrated fine-scale hydrologic modeling with agricultural application and planned land use to assess the potential benefits of climate-smart agricultural practices in buffering the impacts of climate change. Analyses quantified potential hydrological benefit of these practices, highlighted current opportunities for further implementation, and showcased the importance of conserving agricultural lands in light of climate change and future urban development.
