I grow in clusters of sharp sword-like leaves, and every few years in the spring I grow a tall stalk of big white flowers. Every part of me is useful for people and animals. I have a special relationship with Yucca moths who pollinate my flowers and then their larvae eat my seeds—it works well for both of us! I grow by the coast and in the desert, but climate change is going to make it harder for me to withstand more extreme heat and drought, especially young plants that are not quite ready for extreme drought.
