Climate Kids at Cabrillo’s Bioblitz

On Saturday May 21st Climate Kids participated in Cabrillo National Monument’s Bioblitz. Ambassadors from Pacific Beach Elementary, Climate Kids-Mexico and Nos de Chita were all there as part of the fun.

At the event the Climate Kids group had a table with activities for kids, real animal pelts from San Diego native carnivores, the Nos de Chita Brazilian dancing group, and a monarch butterfly themed fashion show by Climate Kids from Mexico. Our ambassadors came, put on their lab coats and taught other kids about climate change and what they can do to help the earth through interactive displays, a fashion show and a music and dance performance.

As part of the Bioblitz kids were able to "learn about the unique ecosystems of the Monument, participate in science-based activities, and help park biologists in quantifying the plants and animals that call Cabrillo home."
