Climate Kids Ambassadors Participate in Animals on the Bay Day Event

The Climate Science Alliance attended the Animals on the Bay Day celebration at the Living Coast Discovery Center in Chula Vista on October 8th. This free event for the community received a total of 2,576 adults and children throughout the day! The Alliance hosted a Climate Kids table where visitors to our booth learned about the impacts of climate change and human development on local species. Two of our Climate Kids Ambassadors, Michelle and Gretchen, assisted with our Climate Kids activities. They shared their knowledge about climate change and inspired kids and adults alike to take action to reduce their footprint on the Earth. Visitors got a special treat by participating in a special Climate Kids "10 Things" community art project that featured commitments from hundreds of attendees.

A Special thanks to the Living Coast for inviting us back to the event this year, our partners at STAY COOL for Grandkids for coming out and helping, and to our amazing ambassadors for helping spread climate literacy to San Diego.
