Affiliated Artist Oriana Poindexter and Hill Street Country Club hosted local Oceanside youth at the pop-up “Treasures from the Scripps Collection” exhibit for a special, all-ages science workshop with researchers from Scripps Institution of Oceanography.

On June 18, the Hill Street Country Club hosted a special science workshop for all ages, as part of the “Treasures from the Scripps Collection” pop-up exhibit featuring photographs from Oriana Poindexter, an Affiliated Artist of the Climate Science Alliance.

Led by Oriana, the workshop included discussion of the specimens highlighted in the photos and a scientific demonstration on our marine environment and food supply led by researchers from Scripps Institution of Oceanography.

Treasures from the Scripps Collection” is now on display on the 1st floor of the Eckart Building at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
