Last fall, Climate Kids Mexico Project Manager, Anna Lucía López Avedoy, helped to lead a course to train individuals to become nature guides and environmental interpreters with a focus on climate change. This training was part of the Escuela Profesional de Senderismo y Actividades en la Naturaleza (Professional School for Hiking and Nature Activities). This training—which took place in la Misión, Ensenada—aims to help trainees identify natural and cultural heritage and understand how climate will impact the region to advance tourism activities focused on conservation of ecosystems in Baja California, with the goal of imparting this knowledge onto others in the region.
