Climate Science Alliance sponsors a California Indian Basketweavers' Association event, ‘Flames of Wisdom’, hosted at La Jolla Campground.
On September 21, 2024 Climate Science Alliance had the great opportunity to sponsor a California Indian Basketweavers' Association event: Flames of Wisdom. The event was hosted at the beautiful La Jolla Band of Luiseño Indians campground. The event brought together community members from around the region and featured talks about cultural fire, basket weaving demonstrations, and fireside chats. Set amongst the oak trees attendees spent time together learning at the basket weaving demonstration tables as well as at the Climate Science Alliance table featuring our newest Climate Kids resource the Climate Science and Fire Traveling Trunk.
