Climate Science Alliance Team Visits San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge

The Climate Science Alliance team visits San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge in collaboration with U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to plan future Stewardship Pathways training events.

On December 15th, Climate Science Alliance staff visited San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge in collaboration with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to plan an upcoming coastal restoration training event (more information coming soon!) as part of the Stewardship Pathways program.

Thanks to U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service’s Urban Refuge Coordinator, Chantel Jimenez, for sharing the history of the space and giving us a tour around the refuge. Throughout the visit we engaged in bird watching, identifying native plants and wildlife, and were even visited by a stingray swimming along the channel.

Pictured above; Amber Pairis, Chantel Jimenez, Mary Jane Andreas, Paula Sternberg and Shannon Magee are pictured sitting along the beach after a walk through the refuge.
