With the backdrop of a gorgeous sunset at Mission Bay, community members gathered to learn about the connections between yoga, nature, climate change, and each other. This donation-based event was put together by local yoga leaders and San Diego Yoga News in benefit to the Climate Science Alliance.
The “Community Connection: Yoga, Sound Healing, and Nature” event held on October 17, 2022 started off with a conversation led by Bridey Scully, founder of San Diego Yoga News, who spoke about humans, our connections to nature, and yoga. The grounding conversation paved the way for yoga teacher Kla-Bada Bee to guide participants in an abundance yoga flow that faced a beautiful Mission Bay sunset. At the closing of the yoga flow, Nazli Takesh led a sound healing session that allowed participants to relax and meditate as the sun faded away.
After the event, community members mingled, enjoyed some snacks and were able to converse with Climate Science Alliance team members to learn about the Alliance’s work and how we help foment climate change resilience in our region.
The Climate Science Alliance extends a warm thank you to yoga leaders Kla-Bada Bee, Nazli Takesh, and Bridey Scully for helping to organize this event and donations!
