On September 5, 2024 Climate Science Alliance team member, Jeanette Starpine, delivered the 'Snyaaw Stewards Backpacks, Book Club Tubs and New Climate Science and Fire Traveling Trunk to the Manzanita Band of the Kumeyaay Nation. It was an awesome day to deliver these resources and we are thankful to SDG&E, California Department of Fish and Wildlife and Clif Bar for providing funds that support these projects. Jeanette met with educators and environmental staff to provide an overview of the educational materials and answer any questions. The educators and environmental staff were very excited to receive the materials and this meeting launched the coordination of a wider Climate Kids Traveling Trunks training session so that the surrounding communities know they can checkout these resources from Manzanita. We are so thankful to be collaborating with the Manzanita Band of the Kumeyaay Nation!
