The Climate Science Alliance and San Diego Foundation were able to provide logistical support for the outreach meeting held last month on the creation of a regional report for California’s Fifth Climate Change Assessment.
Attendees of the workshop, held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 in San Diego, CA, on Kumeyaay homelands provided input on the draft framework for the regional reports, identified local priorities for the San Diego region to be addressed through the Fifth Assessment, and began identifying partners interested in being part of regional author teams. This feedback will guide the development of the State’s Vulnerable Communities Platform. This workshop was also a chance for the community to share their adaptation and resilience priorities to inform the 2024 Update to California’s Climate Adaptation Strategy.
The Climate Science Alliance and the San Diego Foundation were able to provide logistical support for the workshop.
