We are excited to announce a new initiative, the Great Basin Tribal Alliance, which is focused on providing a trusted, culturally-relevant forum for Tribal communities in the Great Basin region to explore ways to reconnect, engage, and take leadership in climate resilience efforts.
Join us in person on Thursday, June 1st in Reno, Nevada for our inaugural meeting on Thursday June 1st from 9:00AM to 4:00PM at the Desert Research Institute 2215 Raggio Parkway Reno, NV 89512. Lunch will be provided!
To RSVP, please complete the application form at your earliest convenience. Space is limited and priority will go towards Tribal leadership and Tribal environmental personnel. The extended deadline to RSVP is May 31st.
This joint initiative is a partnership between the Climate Science Alliance and its Tribal Working Group, with the Indigenous Climate Stewardship Lead Marissa Weaselboy. The Indigenous Climate Stewardship Lead position is hosted in partnership by the Alliance and the Desert Research Institute’s Climate Center Group, created to facilitate Tribally led climate resilience efforts in the Great Basin.
