Lori Hardy

Director of Operations

Lori Hardy, PMP (she/her) is the Director of Operations for the Climate Science Alliance, where she focuses on financial, operations, and staff management to support the Alliance team and their community partners.  Lori grew up in San Diego County and currently lives in Escondido, CA with her husband and daughter.  She first entered the community development and capacity building space serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Rwanda in 2015.  Since returning in 2017, she has been involved with various nonprofits local to the San Diego area, working in areas of cultural and gender-based trauma, homelessness, and food insecurity.  She holds great love for the communities and cultures found in Southern California, and her favorite parts of her job are connecting with community partners and building relationships.

Lori has a long history in both operations and project management.  She has training and experience in nonprofit financials, bookkeeping, grant management, inventory and office management, and strategic planning, in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors.  She expanded her ability to lead cross-functional teams to meet strategic and organizational goals by receiving her Professional Certificate in Project Management in 2022 and her PMP certification in 2023. Her passion is in using her expertise in operations management to support community-led initiatives and create lasting change.
